Members may enter the chatroom by clicking "Open Chat" on the left side of the page. You must be a registered member of ScanAlabama.Net to gain access to the chat. You may be prompted to enter your username and password once again before you are granted access. If you are asked for your login information, just use the same information that you use to login to the site. I hope everyone enjoys this new feature!

Breaking News Tuscaloosa County SO
Posted by CSL126 on Thursday, September 25 @ 01:36:54 EDT (230 reads)

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office has just switched over to a new APCO 25 digital radio system. As of right now the system is not encrypted. It appears that the primary dispatch frequency is now 159.090. If you don't have a digital scanner you will not be able to monitor TCSO at this time; however, you may listen to them via the live scanner feed offered by this site. If you have any questions just post them in the forum and I'll try my best to answer them.

Site News Major Database Update!
Posted by CSL126 on Friday, September 05 @ 01:32:47 EDT (226 reads)

Hey guys! Over the weekend I plan on adding information to the database for the following counties in Northern Alabama: Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison, Jackson, Colbert, Lawrence, Morgan, Marshall, DeKalb, Marion, Winston, Cullman, Blount, Etowah, and Cherokee. If anyone has frequencies that they would like to contribute, please contact me on the forums, PMs, or via email.

Additonally, I will be starting on a new update for the database that will allow us to post and view information on trunked radio systems throughout the state.

If anyone has a scanner and a cable or dsl internet connection that is interested in starting your own scanner feed, please email me. I will work with you and show you how to set up a live scanner feed. I am looking mainly for people in or near the state's metro areas. Once you have launched your feed, it will appear on our site's live scanner block.
